A Follow-Up Nudge Automation functions as a reminder that encourages contacts to reply or take a desired action. This Automation can be leveraged to re-engage contacts, boost interaction with your texting service, and reduce Agent workload.
For example, your sales team could automate a Follow-Up Nudge to send to prospective customers who haven’t responded yet to previous messages. Ideally, the follow-up message will prompt the customer to respond or take action.
Let’s look at how to set this Automation up on the Textline platform.
In the Automations window, click New Automation.
Select Build From Scratch.
Name your Automation and choose your Department.
Departments are phone numbers under which your Automation operates.
Select the Timer Automation type and confirm your Department is correct.
Customize your Timer Condition.
For a Follow-Up Nudge, select waiting for a contact response for. Then, select the amount of time that should elapse between an initial message and the Follow-Up Nudge.
Add any other Conditions you want met.
Conditions are rules that trigger or prevent the Automation from firing. If you only want the Follow-Up Nudge to send in certain scenarios, select Message body must exactly match and type the exact message your Agent previously sent.
Click Add Action and select Send a message. Then, type your follow-up message.
You can also check any or all of the three boxes below the message. To learn more about what these options mean, take a look at our Send a message help page.
Review your Automation Conditions and proofread your message.
You can also choose to save your Automation as a template for future use.
Finally, click Create Automation to start encouraging your customers to take actions.
