Many businesses operate on special or adjusted hours during the holiday season. To keep contacts informed on seasonal hours, use a Holiday Auto Response to wish contacts a happy holiday and share your temporary operating hours. The Holiday Auto Response Automation is a professional, friendly way to manage customer expectations and provide a high-quality customer experience.
Here’s how to set this Automation up on the Textline platform.
In the Automations window, click New Automation.
Select Build From Scratch.
Name your Automation and choose your Department.
The Department is the phone number under which your Automation will operate.
Select the Message Received Automation type and confirm that the Department is correct.
This step tells Textline to trigger the Automation after an inbound message is received.
Add your Conditions.
For this Automation, select the date(s) your business will be unavailable for the holidays.
Click Add Action and select Send a message. Then, type your auto-response message.

Make your list and check it twice.
Review your Automation Conditions and proofread your message. You can also choose to save your Automation as a template for future use.
Finally, click Create Automation to start spreading holiday cheer.
